Wes Streeting - commit to bring NHS outsourced services back inhouse as their contracts end

I’m writing to you about new research featured in the <a href="https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/labour-historic-chance-end-reduce-32942608">Mirror</a> and <a href="https://www.bigissue.com/life/health/nhs-privatisation-outsourcing-labour-general-election/">Big Issue</a> magazine. 
<a href="https://weownit.org.uk/blog/labours-historic-opportunity-reverse-nhs-outsourcing-first-term">We Own It’s analysis </a>of NHS contracts reveals that 94% of current outsourcing contracts for services between private/for-profit companies and the NHS (at national, regional and local levels) are set to expire in the next five years.  
The research also shows that private companies stand to make £1 billion IN PROFITS from the 7452 NHS outsourcing contracts for services that you have inherited in the Department for Health and Social Care.

<div>Will you commit that if elected you will bring NHS outsourcing contracts back into the NHS as they expire? 
The government is going to take our railway operators into public ownership by taking back rail contracts when they expire.
This is a brilliant policy that you can implement in the NHS as well.  
In March last year, you told <a href="https://www.newstatesman.com/politics/preparing-for-power/2023/03/wes-streeting-interview-nhs-privatisation-politics-values-aims">the New Stateman</a>, “Rachel Reeves talks a lot about radical insourcing and I’d like to see some of that because I think we are paying over the odds for some services, including in the NHS.”
Plus, the National Policy Forum document endorsed by the Labour Conference last year made a robust case for a fully publicly delivered NHS, saying “Direct public provision embeds a public service ethos, efficiency, resilience and democratic accountability into the heart of the NHS.” 
But you’ve thus far not provided any details on how you will end NHS outsourcing in your new role. Newly published <a href="https://www.ipsos.com/en-uk/public-concern-about-nhs-rises-to-its-highest-level-post-pandemic" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ipsos research</a> shows that more people than ever believe the NHS is the most important issue post-election. I share that concern.
I am writing to urge you to adopt the concrete policy of reinstating every outsourced service into the NHS when their contracts end.</div>
